Rest IS the Work š³

ThisĀ week, Iāve taken myself on a ābusiness staycation.ā No big tripsājust a fresh environment, free from distractions, to balance two essentials:
- Rest and recharge after recent health challenges for myself and my family.
- Diving into impactful business initiatives, like launchingĀ Virtually MyselfĀ®ļøĀ (for thought leaders, authors, and consultants) and refreshingĀ Marketing MeĀ®ļøĀ for 2025.
Iāve also been running webinars (yesterdayās for theĀ Australian Marketing InstituteĀ had 130+ attendees and I hosted it live from a local library in my getaway location!).

I've also been head down, tail up building and shaping new digital products to make my best resources even more accessible.
Itās a lot, I knowāand yes, Iām ārestingā too.Ā šĀ Because the restĀ isĀ the work.
So yes, in the last two days I can proudly say I've enjoyed, not one, nor two, but FIVE baths! I think a lot in the water and find it very calming and soothing. And I think one exceeded my previously-held record of 3 hours! (I wrote about that one in my blog last year aboutĀ The Purple Bath!)
As a founder and personal brand, Iāve learned that my energy isnāt an optional extraāitās at the core of everything I do. Thatās why Iāve given myself this time, not just to ādo,ā but toĀ be.Ā To reflect, create, and go deep into the work I love, in a way that fuels me for the long haul.
This week has been a beautiful reminder of why doing less, but with intention, often moves the needle further.

So, hereās your reminder: give yourself space. It takes time to organise and plan for, and even then, things don't always go to plan!
Fresh off having spent the weekend at the hospital with one of my boys, it took me two days longer than planned to immerse myself in the big tasks I had set before me for this precious week off the grid.
But that's ok. We can only do what we can do!
Rather than "push through", I decided to just go with it - knowing that on the other side of the rest my remaining three days will be way more productive.
Why?
BecauseĀ rest IS productive.Ā And when you do lean in, do it with energy and purpose.
So much goodness on the way to you soon - I'm exploring and preparing lots of FRESH ways to help you build your brand, with fun, ease and much inspiration.Ā
Excited for whatās aheadāstay tuned!
