What if you could fold time?

Not long ago my son was attending the Rafa Nadal tennis academy.

I was making the most of the waiting time by doing some laptop work at a nearby shopping centre. The hour came to pick him up, so I headed back to the car, only to find it wasn’t there.

When I arrived early that the morning the carpark was empty and I had my pick of the spots. It had turned into a super-hot day so by this time there were cars everywhere.

I figured I knew where it was but alas, it was no-where to be found.

I walked up and down, around and around, inside and outside of the shopping centre, trying to find the car. Meanwhile working up a sweat while also getting stressed as it was one of those super-hot days, and so dreading the annoyance of my teenage son who was now waiting in 38 deg (100 F) heat after 7 hours of intense tennis.

Perplexed and frustrated I had an idea. Perhaps the “Parked Car” icon on the Maps App on my iPhone would help me find it.

And sure enough, it said was there, right where I was standing..........and yet it wasn’t.

It was then I realised there was a little blue message popping up in the App. Telling me I was on the wrong floor.

No wonder the car was no-where to be found. I wasn’t even aware there was a basement floor!

But thankfully the iPhone was there at the right time with the right information, to give me a very fundamental, very obvious but extremely helpful insight that changed everything and got me to my car, to my son, to the 7-Eleven Slurpee machine, and ultimately home.

As this went down I couldn’t help but think this was such a great metaphor for business, and especially marketing.

So often we can be on the right track, yet it’s just not working like we wish it would and we don’t know why.

It's like we can't see the wood for the trees. 

Something that is so obvious from an external perspective.

A few small insights or tweaks, enhancing what you already have, that can make the seemingly unattainable, feel within reach and do-able.

This is one of the things I enjoy most about working with my clients inside my Marketing Me®️ program.

Showing each and every person that they have the ability and capability to do this, and holding their hand as they embark on the path of actually doing it!

My strength is being able to “see” things they can’t, and give the right insights at the right time, based on what will move them forward the fastest, in a freaky time-folding kind of way, without overwhelming or overloading them.

The most sacred times of my work week are when I spend time with members inside my Marketing Me®️ programs.

It’s strategy, experience, process and intuition coming together – and I instinctively “know” what the specific application of each week of the program is for each individual.

Because the application is going to be different for everyone. 

When I was growing up we used to have a clothing label called OSFA – “One size fits all”.

(Nowadays this has evolved to be more inclusive – and the equivalent is “one size fits most”.)

But after decades in marketing and now many years as a global mentor in the personal branding space, there isn’t anything that could be further from the truth when it comes to an individual’s personal branding journey.

There is no “One Size Fits All/Most”

Every individual is different, each personality is unique and the skills, experience, time, passion and motivators for creating content, and spreading your message and attracting clients are different.

Trying to fit one personality into a specific system is akin to trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

It’s grating, uncomfortable and doesn’t work.

You can try to make it work for a while, but it won’t stick and you’ll be back to where you started.

I also see this in a lot of marketing specialists. Freelancers. Agencies even.

You wouldn’t believe how many professionals and experts struggle with this. (and somehow it feels even harder when you feel the expectation that you “should have it altogether”.)

That’s why a gentle, intuitive approach is needed for content creation.

There is a way that’s unique to you, that can be tapped into, leveraged and multiplied.

And this is my gift – helping you find it, in a way that brings ease, joy and life into how you get your message out to the world.

So it doesn’t feel like swimming through toffee.

Instead it’s like the wind beneath your wings, the thing that lifts you up and energises you.

I was reminded of this today very powerfully during my Marketing Me®️ Experience strategy session. 

As we did a deep dive into each person’s unique content creation style – coming up with something bespoke and enjoyable for them.

The jaw-dropping, eye-popping moments of almost disbelief – that the answer could be so simple, and yet for some of them it had never occurred to them that it could be possible let alone this easy.

Marketing Me®️ is a journey and indeed an experience unlike any other.

It’s classified as marketing, but it’s so much more – growth, confidence, personal development, strategy, sales, quality of life, spark of life, the list goes on.

Every single person (no exceptions!) is transformed through this process.

Not just through the content, and the coaching, but through the connections and community that’s established as well.

The transformation is gentle, yet beyond powerful.

And it goes way beyond marketing, beyond business even.

Because it sparks something deep within you.

That thing that is yearning to be lit up and expressed into the world.

The personal branding process I use, just turns out to be a very convenient and useful vehicle to bring that into reality.

We fold time and get extraordinary results, fast.

Things people have been “trying to do” for years, we DO in a matter of weeks.

And not in a hustling and striving kind of way either – nope.

That reeks of effort, and takes you out of flow.

I’m talking about in one or two glorious hours per week – that’s all it takes to create the space for massive shifts to occur.

I keep it very small because we work with every single person, to the degree that’s required each week to get the progress and outcomes that their business needs.

Sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know – and that’s where I can help.

Because I’ll help you find the gaps you didn’t know you had.

People come in ready to focus on their personal brand – not realising that this process is going to help them get clear on their offer, their audience, their messaging, their branding, their content and their business strategy.

Sounds like we get through lot? Yep – that’s because we do!

But in the most beautiful way.  

When I talk about “folding time”…..I’m not kidding…..that’s my superpower, especially when it comes to marketing.
